**TL;DR:** I took my 06 vstar 650 to the garage to get the carb cleaned and rebuilt, even after that the carb is no good. I bought the bike in 2015 for $3,000. Mechanic quoted me $1,000 for a new carb. I don't really think its worth replacing. Mechanic said aftermarket isn't really an option with this.
